My university application journey
I've always wanted to serve in the healthcare sector, and I'm thankful that my passion is my career today. Being a doctor demands many things - and at its core, it requires compassion and empathy above all. The application process for NUS Med can be daunting, especially FSA/SJT which most candidates would not have had any experience with. There are online resources available and seniors to speak to, but candidates ultimately have to know and present their personal reasons and aspirations well.
Life after NYJC
I graduated from NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2020, currently working at NUH for my first posting as a House Officer
My Future Plans
Medicine is a life long career for many, and I'm only at the beginning. As of now, I have interest in Family Medicine as well as Obstetrics and Gynaecology, but I will want to rotate through these postings as a Medical Officer before making my decision.
Tips for Juniors
While it's important to work hard towards academic success, please take the time to consider your personal strengths, weaknesses and passion(s). Feel free to approach me for any advice on Medicine/healthcare in general.
