Brief description

Psychological first aid (PFA) can be defined as a compassionate and supportive presence to help people in the immediate aftermath of a disaster or terrorism. PFA is designed to aid those who are affected by the incident, who may struggle with or face new challenges following the event (can be done through the RAPID model). PFA is not psychotherapy, but crisis intervention.

This course is useful in giving me knowledge out of the things that we learn in real life, and it is something that people would not be taught normally. I am able to learn new things and might be able to provide aid to someone if the time comes in the future. I would recommend my peers to take this course only if they are interested because the lecturer in the video can be a little boring, and there are also quite a few quizzes to pass.
